Israel’s deadly attack on Tehran’s Evin prison was a ‘war crime’, says UN

  • A UN investigation has declared that an Israeli air strike on Tehran's Evin prison in June 2025 constituted a war crime.

  • The UN also warned that external military action risks intensifying domestic repression in Iran and voiced concerns for detainees, including a British couple, amidst the current bombing campaign.
