Israel are facing an injury crisis ahead of their clash with Scotland on Saturday with as many as four players ruled out of the trip to Glasgow.
And the national team have been slaughtered for calling up defender Idan Nachmias who Maccabi Tel Aviv boss Patrick van Leeuwen says is nowhere near full fitness.
Familiar foes Israel travel to face Steve Clarke 's side in a clash at Hampden that will have huge implications on both side's World Cup qualification chances.
The Scots occupy second spot at present and a win would put them in pole position to secure a playoff spot as victories over Moldova and the Faroe Islands would then be enough.
While Clarke has Scott McTominay returning from injury, Israel will be without four regular fixtures of their squad. Defenders Eitan Tibi and Orel Dgani, sub keeper Ariel Harush and now midfielder Omer Atzili are all out.
Much to the fury of Van Leeuwen, they have called up his defender Nachmias without giving any notice, despite the fact he is still recovering from a shoulder injury.
Van Leeuwen raged: "For me, it is unthinkable that he is called up by Israel. The association has been wrong here at every turn.
"They did not even have the courtesy to phone me or the club's doctors to find out how his condition is before including him for the qualifiers.
"At the weekend, our medical staff told me that if I played him, I was risking aggravating his injury and the damage could be long term.
"To take Nachmias away from us is to take a risk on our player - a risk that we were not willing to take - is something that should not happen.
"As a club, we think this is a dangerous and the wrong decision to take him to Scotland."
