Israel And Iran Clash At UN Security Council Meeting

United Nations Security council U.N. Security Council moves towards a vote to demand aid access for Gaza, in New York

During Sunday's UN Security Council emergency session, Israel and Iran's ambassadors engaged in a war of words over Iran's recent attack on Israel. Israel's UN ambassador, Gilad Erdan, accused Iran of seeking world domination and disregarding the well-being of Islam and Muslims. He called for immediate action to designate the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terror organization to prevent further escalations.

In response, Iran's UN Ambassador, Amir Saeid Iravani, defended Iran's actions as an exercise of its right to self-defense under international law. Iravani emphasized that Iran's operation was precise and targeted military objectives to avoid civilian harm and prevent regional escalation.

The tension between the two nations had been building up, with a recent suspected Israeli strike on an Iranian diplomatic complex in Syria. Iravani clarified that Iran does not seek conflict with the US but will respond proportionately if provoked.

The clash at the UN Security Council reflects the deep-rooted animosity between Israel and Iran, raising concerns about the potential for further conflict in the region. The international community is closely monitoring the situation to prevent a full-scale war that could have global implications.
