Isolating Celtic stars serenaded by Barry from Eastenders as he sings Neil Lennon anthem in madcap viral video

Isolating Celtic stars have been sent a wacky message of support by actor Shaun Williamson - AKA Barry from Eastenders.

The 55-year-old actor has given a shout out to "Neil, Broony and the boys" as a chunk of the Parkhead squad are confined to quarantine.

13 first-team stars plus boss Neil Lennon and assistant John Kennedy were ordered to self-isolate after being deemed close contacts of defender Christopher Jullien, who tested positive for Covid-19 following the squad's return from the ill-fated Dubai trip.

The video's origin is unknown, although the fact it's being shared among Rangers accounts on social media suggests a mischievous Ibrox fan could be behind it.

In the near two-minute clip, Williamson wishes Lennon, Scott Brown and the rest of the Celtic contingent well.

He exclaims: "Hello to Neil, Broony and the boys!

"It's Shaun Williamson here - Barry from Eastenders, Barry from Ricky Gervais' Extras and Barry from anything anyone's willing to pay me to be Barry in, basically!"

After a brief musical and comedic interlude, Williamson continues: "Now lads, I hope you're well.

"I hope you're OK and staying safe, and I hope isolation isn't too bad for you.

"I know things can get a bit grim. I think it's the weather, really.

"The weather doesn't help. It's all wet, cold and miserable but we'll get through this.

"We'll get through this and soon we'll be back to the weather we were.

"Stay safe and don't drink too much.

"During lockdown I've started drinking brake fluid. Having said that, I can stop any time I like!"

Williamson signs off by launching into his version of Labi Siffre's "Something Inside So Strong", his famous performance of which at the World Indoor Bowls Championshi you may or may not have seen on YouTube.

Celtic fans also adapted the song as an anthem for Lennon during his first stint in the charge of the club.
