Ismaila Soro to Celtic transfer latest as Bnei Yehuda chief clears way for Parkhead move

Bnei Yehuda chief Barak Abramov admits it'd be near impossible to keep Ismaila Soro if Celtic come calling.

The midfielder has been heavily linked with a switch to the Premiership champions, with Belgian side Genk also interested.

And his Tel Aviv club's owner has now accepted he would fully understand if the 21-year-old decided to leave for Scotland if and when Neil Lennon 's side finalise their offer.

Abramov said: "It's no secret that Celtic are very interested in Ismaila.

"When such a massive club with so many thousands of fans want to sign you, it would be very hard to keep him at a small club like Bnei Yehuda.

"But at the same time I would stress we have yet to recive a formal offer from Celtic ."

Ivory Coast star Soro, who has previously played for clubs in Moldova and

Belarus, still has 18 months left of his contract, but looks certain to leave this month with French club Dijon also interested.
