Ismaila Soro arrives in Glasgow to seal Celtic transfer as midfielder gets set to finalise £2million move

Midfielder Ismaila Soro is set to touch down in Glasgow and seal his move to Celtic.

The Bnei Yehuda star is expected to arrive this afternoon to put the final touches on a £2million transfer.

Soro passed a medical in Israel and agreed a four-and-half-year contract last week.

The deal had been held up by paperwork issues and a delay in the player's work permit being granted.

He will become Neil Lennon's second January signing following the capture of £3.5m striker Patryk Klimala earlier in the window.

Ahead of his move, Soro revealed his ultimate goal is to star for reigning Champions League winners Liverpool in the Premier League.

He said: "After Celtic I would like to play in the Premier League and Liverpool, that's why the Scottish league will be very good for me.

"I'm really happy to make a career because Celtic is a great team.

“It's flattering to take my career to the next level and face such a challenge.

“It was so exciting when I was informed that I was officially joining Celtic, I was very happy that the deal was finally closed and I said thank you to the club."
