Ismaila Sarr, Yves Bissouma and 2 more players Liverpool are tipped to sign on deadline day

Liverpool look set for a quiet end to the transfer window in terms of incomings, but bookmakers still have them in the mix to sign a number of players on deadline day.

The summer window closes at 11 p.m. on Tuesday and while a number of their rivals have strengthened with significant additions, the Reds have only made one major signing in the form of Ibrahima Konate.

After the summer departures of Xherdan Shaqiri and Georginio Wijnaldum, Liverpool would no doubt benefit from some reinforcements in midfield and attack.

With that in mind, here are some players bookmakers still consider them to be in the mix for.

Odds courtesy of SkyBet and accurate as of 3 a.m. on August 31.

Ismaila Sarr, Watford

Sarr has been linked with Liverpool previously and it's easy to see how he'd slot in as part of the Reds' vibrant attack.

The winger stayed with Watford last season despite their relegation and was crucial to their immediate return to the top flight. Sarr shone in Watford's 3-2 win over Aston Villa on the opening day of the 2021-22 season and although they've lost both games since, he's shown flashes of class in both.

At 23 years old, Sarr still has developing to do and he'd represent a fine rotation option for Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, relieving the physical burden on players like Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.

The Reds are unsurprisingly the 7/4 favourites to land the Senegal international should he change clubs on Tuesday.

Yves Bissouma, Brighton & Hove Albion

After some stellar performances last season, it was assumed a club in continental competition would swoop for Bissouma in this market.

But for now, he's still a Brighton player.

Bissouma has the energy and the aggression to slot into a Liverpool midfield, while he's developed technical aspects of his game since working under Graham Potter at the Amex Stadium.

He'd tick a lot of boxes for the Reds, so it's no shock they are the 5/2 favourites to sign Bissouma should he change clubs on Tuesday.

Renato Sanches, Lille

Given his all-action style, Sanches would seemingly be a sensible replacement for Wijnaldum at Anfield.

Sanches has endured some difficult years since bursting onto the scene at the 2016 European Championships and at this summer's competition he offered a reminder of his quality with some dynamic displays for Portugal.

Liverpool have been linked with the 24-year-old previously, but it would appear Wolves are the favourites to bring him in in what would represent a coup for Bruno Lage's team.

Speculation emerged on Monday linking the Midlands outfit with Sanches, meaning they are 1/10 favourites to sign him; the Reds are second in the market at 18/1.

Kylian Mbappe, Paris Saint-Germain

It was always going to be a long shot, wasn't it?

Mbappe now appears odds on to stay at PSG until January at least after Real Madrid's €180 million offer reportedly went unanswered.

Liverpool, who have been linked with the French superstar in the past, are out at 50/1 to secure his signature.
