Isle of Wight's paid-for takes over free title

The Isle of Wight County Press group has taken over the island's popular free advertising paper, Weekly Ad. The County Press's chief executive, Robin Freeman, stresses that it will be "business as usual" at the giveaway title because its founders, Paul and Angie Fareham, will continue to run the Weekly Ad with the current staff. The paper, which was first published in 1986, distributes 21,000 copies a week to islanders while the County Press sells 40,000 copies a week. (Via iowtoday.co.uk))
