Isle of Dogs: Three charged after man, 33, fatally stabbed

Three men have been charged in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 33-year-old man in the Isle of Dogs in September.

Officers gave CPR to stabbed Mohamed Ensser after being called to East Ferry Road on September 21 to reports of a group of men fighting but his life could not be saved.

On Thursday, Kwabena Boateng, 20, of Dod Street, Poplar, was charged with murder and possession of a knife.

Ibrahim Taher, 22, also of Dod Street, was charged with assisting an offender.

Kenneth McCreaner, 64, of Alpha Grove, Isle of Dogs, was also charged with assisting an offender.

All three men appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Friday November 12.

Boateng appeared at the Old Bailey on Tuesday and was remanded in custody to appear at the same court on February 8.

Taher and McCreaner were remanded in custody to appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on December 10.

Mr Ensser’s family continue to be supported by specialist officers.
