Islanders' win streak snapped by Senators in wild matchup

NEW YORK _ The Islanders dropped a wild one, 6-5 to the Senators, for the Isles' first regulation loss at Barclays Center this season.

It was tied 5-5 after two periods, with both starting goaltenders pulled. Anders Lee had two goals and Jason Chimera, Anthony Beauvillier and Andrew Ladd had the Islanders goals, but Ryan Dzingel's second of the game on the power play early in the third period proved to be the winner, snapping the Isles' four-game win streak and the Senators' seven-game winless streak.

Ottawa had scored just nine goals in their seven-game skid but chased Thomas Greiss after scoring five times on 20 shots. Chimera's goal sent Craig Anderson to the bench a few minutes before Greiss was pulled and Jaroslav Halak was tagged with the loss for allowing Dzingel's winner. Condon held the fort over the final 90 seconds to drop the Isles to 8-1-2 at home.
