Islanders stunned as Hollywood superstar pops into local cafe on visit to Scotland

ACTOR Chris Pine has been spotted enjoying a local coffee on a visit to the Isle of Bute.

Isle of Bute Coffee Company shared a photo with the Princess Diaries 2 star on his visit to the cafe with friends, stating that its island coffee blend had his stamp of approval.

The 42-year-old’s last visit to the country was in 2018 while filming the Netflix biopic Outlaw King, based on the life of Robert the Bruce.

“Bute Coffee is Chris Pine approved,” the cafe wrote in an Instagram post.

One local replied to the post saying: "No way - Captain Kirk in Rothesay."

Front of house staff member Amanda Rae, who was photographed with the star, replied: "And prospering!"

The shop added: “Had the pleasure of caffeinating and getting to chat to him and his pals while they visited Bute (and of course had to ask for a pic too).

"Hope he enjoyed Bute; we enjoyed having him!”
