It is January transfer deadline day and Tottenham are still searching for a new striker.
An injury to Harry Kane means that the top goalscorer will be out of action until at least April, causing Jose Mourinho to take decisive action.
Krzysztof Piatek and Willian Jose have both been linked with a move, but one of the more surprising names to emerge is Leicester City striker Islam Slimani.
The striker has fallen out of favour at the King Power Stadium, and has spent the last two seasons out on loan after a big money move in 2016.
So will the former Sporting man be playing at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium soon?
Here's everything we know about his future.
Who is Slimani?
Islam Slimani is a striker who plays for French side AS Monaco on loan from fellow Premier League side Leicester City.
The Algerian international has scored seven goals and provided seven more assists in Ligue 1 so far this season.
He has been at Leicester since completing a deadline day move from Sporting in the summer of 2016, he has since been on loan at Newcastle United and Fernerbahce after failing to make a real impact at the King Power Stadium.
Slimani has scored eight goals in 39 Premier League appearances.
Man United and Tottenham 'in talks'
According to French outlet RMC Sport (via Get French Football News), both Tottenham and Manchester United are in talks over a possible transfer for the Algerian.
The report though doesn't make it clear if the move would be permanent or a loan deal.
What Brendan Rodgers has said
Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers has spoken about the striker's future and if a deal could be done.
"It would have to go through the club," Rodgers said earlier in the month as per Leicestershire Live. "Slim's on loan and is there for the season.
"Any club that is interested would have to come through the club."
Slimani 'asks to leave' Monaco
According to France football (via Get French Football News), Slimani has asked to leave Monaco in order to complete a move back to the Premier League.
The striker is said to have asked the French club to cancel his season-long loan six-months early in light of the speculation linking him to Spurs and Man United.
Talks are said to be still ongoing between the player's entourage and Tottenham and Manchester United.
Tottenham keen on deadline day move
According to French outlet L’Equipe, Tottenham want to sign Islam Slimani before the transfer window closes on Friday.
The report claims Spurs, Inter Milan and Manchester United are all keen on the forward, with talks ongoing.
