Ishan Kishan visits Shree Samadhi Mandir on his birthday

NEW DELHI: On his 26th birthday, Indian batter Ishan Kishan went to Shree Samadhi Mandir in Shirdi to receive blessings.

Kishan posted pictures of his trip to Instagram with the comment, "Shraddha and Saburi."

In terms of his career, Kishan has had a rough year. Kishan was not included in the central contracts of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) earlier this year, along with Shreyas Iyer.

Kishan hasn't played for the national squad, but he recently skipped Ranji Trophy matches. He was included in the Indian team for the Test series against South Africa the previous year, but he withdrew for "personal reasons." He skipped Ranji matches involving Jharkhand in November of last year, as per ANI.

Kishan returned to competitive cricket in 2024 when he played for the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) versus Route Mobile Limited in the 18th DY Patil T20 Cup, following his exclusion from the contract list.

Upon his return, Kishan contributed to one wicket being dismissed at the DY Patil University Ground when he stumped Sumit Dhekale off Sayan Mondal. He provided some entertainment with the bat, making 19 off of 12 balls, including two boundaries and a six.

He later played in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 for the Mumbai Indians.
