Ishaan, Tanisha pair jumps two spots to attain career-best ranking

RAIPUR: The upcoming star shuttler from Chhattisgarh Ishaan Bhatnagar and his mixed doubles partner from Goa Tanisha Crasto jumped two spots to become world number 29, the career-best ranking, in the Badminton World Federation (BWF) Rankings.

Currently, the mixed doubles pair holds number one rank in India.

Ishaan and Tanisha clinched the mixed doubles title at the BWF 300 Syed Modi International badminton tournament held recently in Lucknow followed by the men's doubles title in the international challenge tournament held in Chhattisgarh’s capital Raipur last month.

However, the mixed doubles pair of Ishaan and Tanisha crashed out of the international tournament held in France recently.

Currently Ishaan and Tanisha are participating in the BWF 300 German Open tournament. Ishaan has represented India in the prestigious All England Championship even though he could not win a medal.
