Real Madrid star Isco has hit out at coach Santiago Solari after claiming he doesn't get the same opportunities as his team-mates.

The Spain international has been reduced to a bit-part role since Solari took charge after the sacking of Julen Lopetegui, making just five starts this season.

Reports in Spain have suggested Isco was unhappy with the departure of his former coach and as a result, the 26-year-old has not started a single La Liga game during Solari's reign.

Former Madrid midfielder Ruben De La Red defended the decision to leave Isco out, accusing the midfielder of "not performing to the required level..

In his response, Isco chose to aim a subtle dig at Solari's selection choices and vowed to continue fighting for his place at the Santiago Bernabeu.

He wrote on his official Twitter account: "Totally in agreement with De La Red, but when you don't enjoy the same opportunities as your team-mates, things change.

"Even so, I keep working and fighting hard as I wait for them! Hala Madrid!

Reports of a bust-up between the coach and player have been rife in Spain, but this is the first time the playmaker has spoken publicly about his lack of first-team opportunities.

Isco has been linked with a move away from the club he joined in 2013, with Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City and Chelsea all rumoured to be interested.

But with three years left on his contract, which contains a release clause of €700 million (£613m), the Spanish giants may demand a sizeable fee to part with the four-time Champions League winner.
