Isaiah Thomas tells Celtics fan ‘I’ll be back’

Prior to Monday night’s game between the Boston Celtics and the Denver Nuggets, former fan favorite Isaiah Thomas spread some love to his fans at the TD Garden.

A fan approached IT, saying that no fourth quarter has been the same without him in Boston. Thomas’ response?

“I’ll be back.”

In his two-plus year span with the Celtics, the “King of the Fourth” averaged 24.7 points, 6.0 assists and 2.7 rebounds per game while having a number of exhilarating performances for Boston. It’s no surprise that Thomas, who was the 60th overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft, Thomas was named an All-Star in the full two seasons he played for the Celtics.

As expected, the Celtics honored Thomas’ contributions to Boston with a tribute video on the first quarter of Monday night’s game against Denver.

Is Thomas saying that he will be back enough to make fans wonder if a possible return to Boston is in the works?

To add more fuel to the fire, Thomas will be a free agent this summer.

He previously stated that he is very open to a return to the Celtics.
