Isaiah Thomas made his first trip back to Boston to face the Celtics since being traded by the team before the 2017 season.
And it was an emotional return for a player who was beloved by fans during his brief career with the storied franchise.
Thomas, who now plays with the Denver Nuggets, will long be remembered by how he was able to come back and play with the team during the 2016-17 playoffs after his sister died.
He was emotional before the game and then during the first timeout the Celtics played a video tribute Thomas and it brought out all the emotions for everyone inside the Garden:
He then got emotional as the fans gave him a standing ovation:
That was all pretty awesome. And deserved.
