Isaiah Thomas congratulates Jaylen Brown on being named VP of NBPA

Jaylen Brown is making a big jump within the NBA after being named the Vice President of the National Basketball Players’ Association on Monday. The Boston Celtics’ 2016 first round pick previously acted as the team’s alternate player representative and will take on this larger role by serving on the Executive Committee for the next three years.

But before Brown was elected as the youngest player to serve as Vice President in NBPA, or even before he was averaging double-digit points per game in the NBA, Former Celtics guard Isaiah Thomas knew Brown as Boston’s new rookie.

Although the two only played one season together (2016-2017), Thomas had no trouble giving Brown a hard time while also congratulating the 22-year-old.

Thomas may want to tread cautiously. Brown is kind of a big deal now.
