Isaac Hempstead Wright teased what would happen in Game of Thrones finale weeks in advance

Isaac Hempstead Wright teased that it would be Bran’s time to shine in Game of Thrones season eight before the first episode even aired.

The actor, who plays Bran Stark AKA the Three Eyed Raven in the hit HBO fantasy series was chosen and crowned the king of ‘six’ kingdoms in Monday’s whirlwind grand finale.

Yet,  despite dropping major hints about his future on the Iron Throne, the 20-year-old actor admitted he would have loved to have seen his on-screen ‘brother’ Jon Snow to be crowned King in the end.

Speaking on the red carpet of the European Premiere of Season 8 in Belfast, he told Irish Daily Mirror: “He’s[Bran] an incredibly important character we know that.

“The Three Eyed Raven is there for a reason he’s not just some weird person in the corner so he is going to have some kind of important role but what that will be you will have to wait and see.”

And even though his character ended season seven with the game changing truth of Jon Snow’s real born identity as Aegon Targaryen, he teased: “I’d like Jon Snow to take the Iron Throne, get a little Stark line going even though he’s not a Stark.”

Fans have been watching and waiting to learn the fate of the Westeros for ten years and despite mixed reactions throughout, the cast said they were satisfied with their ending.

Jacob Anderson, who plays the commander of the Unsullied, said he felt season 8 was the ultimate coming of age story for his character Grey Worm.

Speaking at the Belfast premiere, he told us: “I think Grey Worm’s is like a Pinocchio story.

“Like he starts off as a robot, a robot version of Pinocchio and he has slowly become a real boy as time has gone on because he has fallen in love and he has got a purpose and a loyalty and a reason to fight now.

He added: “My favourite scene that i’ve ever done is in this season.

“So I can't say specifically what it is, but I got to do a thing that I never thought, something I was terrified to do before, so I conquered it. I have a phobia of frogs, but it wasn’t that.”
