Is Yami Gautam playing a journalist in 'Pink' director Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury’s next?

Yami Gautam, who recently tied the knot with director Aditya Dhar, is currently enjoying her newly-married phase. However, that hasn’t stopped the couple from getting back to work. While Aditya has started prepping up for ‘The Immortal Ashwatthama’, Yami is gearing up for her next with Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury.

According to a report in a news portal, the yet-untitled film was supposed to be shot in Kolkata and Purulia in May, but the plans went awry due to the second wave of the pandemic. Now that the situation is improving, the filmmaker wants to kick off the shoot in Kolkata in August. A major portion of the story is set in the city.

The film will reportedly examine the crimes in journalism that sometimes go unnoticed. According to the reports, Yami had loved the script right at the narration. She will reportedly play a journalist who propels the narrative forward. The actress is said to be deeply invested in the project, and has had several calls with the director over the past few months to understand the finer details of the story.

Apart from this, Yami also has ‘Bhoot Police’ where she will be seen sharing the screen space with Arjun Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez and Saif Ali Khan in the lead roles.

Yami is also a part of ‘Dasvi’ co-starring Abhishek Bachchan and Nimrat Kaur in the lead roles.
