As of 12pm, there had been at least 400 reports submitted to the Down Detector website.
A number of customers also took to social media to complain about the issues with their phone service.
One person asked: “Is the network down? My 4G is being very hit and miss today?”
Another said: “Omg what a surprise Three’s network is down again.”
“Lost in Dukinfield,” another wrote.
While another said: “I have lost all connections with 3 here in Manchester, no 5G, 4G no hotspot or anything, it was working until around 07:30.”
Lee Burkitt, from Manchester, tweeted they had received a response from 3 support, which called the issue an 'unexpected situation'.
The response said: "Our engineers are working on this and we do not have a time frame as of now but be rest assured this is affected for all the users and will be fixed at the earliest."
Responding on Twitter to one user who is experiencing no internet, a Three support spokesperson also said: “We're aware there's an issue and we're actively working on it.”
Three have been contacted for more information.
