Is this the worst kit ever?

As Ulster line up on Saturday their minds may wander from pop passes to pop art, as Stade Français once more push the boundaries of rugby fashion.

The Parisian club's new strip features multicoloured images of Blanche de Castille - wife of Louis VIII and mother to the saintly Louis IX.

The 34-16 victory over Montauban on Saturday that took Stade Français eight points clear of Toulouse at the summit of the French Top 14 was overshadowed somewhat, or outshone perhaps, by the Andy Warhol-inspired jersey's debut.

Paris, the epicentre of the fashion world, with its coterie of revered designers and boulevards of stylish boutiques, is home to a rugby team with little or no fashion sense.

Last season's light brown number, above left, with turquoise stripes and pink flowers was reminiscent of an Hawaiian shirt fashioned from some 1970s caravan curtains.

Another pink, green and blue effort, middle, blurred the line between sportswear and hippy chic with its tie-dyed blurred lines.

French Queens, Hawaiian shirts and Haight-Ashbury influences - it all makes the original pink jersey, above right, look as dull as Test cricket whites.

Can you think of a kit that commits even more crimes against fashion? Have your say.
