A pre-holiday pint at the airport for some is a staple ahead of a flight. But could this beloved tradition be coming to an end?

Michael O’Leary, Ryanair’s chief executive, says serving alcohol in bars before morning flights should be banned to combat unruly passenger behaviour.

O’Leary said the budget airline was having to divert an average of nearly one flight a day because of poor antics onboard, up from one a week 10 years ago.
