Is this Larry Bird’s likeness in the form of a tomato?

We’ve all heard the one about the face of Jesus appearing in someone’s toast, but have you heard about the second coming of legendary  Boston Celtics forward Larry Bird as a tomato?

In all seriousness, Bird hasn’t left us so ‘second coming’ isn’t quite right, but neither is his visage so evident in a photo of an odd, anthropomorphically- shaped vegetable currently making the rounds on social media platforms.

Larry Legend does indeed bear a slight resemblance to the humanoid-esque marinara base ingredient ostensibly resembling the Hick from French Lick, but then so would anyone with a slight pair of jowls and a touch of melancholy to their air.

Or should I say melon-choly?

We’ll be here all week, folks! Probably with fewer puns, since we want you to read our work.

But in all seriousness, take a look for yourself — it’s not every day someone grows vegetables that look like beloved Celtics superstars.

And we’re not entirely certain they did today, either.
