Former Arsenal and Chelsea star Cesc Fabregas did not hold back on social media when he saw a pundit calling into question Dennis Bergkamp's legacy.
The Dutch master has a statue outside the Emirates Stadium after the role he played at the club, featuring in the historic Invincibles season among other successes.
But talkSPORT host Adrian Durham questioned whether Bergkamp was really that good, not including him in his top five Dutch players in Premier League history.
Among other moments, Durham asked: "If Bergkamp was really that good, why didn't Arsenal win the Champions League, or back-to-back titles?
"He never scored 20 goals in a season in the Premier League for Arsenal. And he was there for 10 years. That's not good."
For contrast, Jamie O'Hara stated: "He won three Premier League titles. He scored one of the best goals the Premier League has ever seen."
Fans were obviously quick to respond to the statements, and Fabregas joined them on Monday afternoon.
"Is this guy serious? Lost the plot big time there," Fabregas tweeted.
"If you don't think Bergkamp was that good, then you don't understand this sport at all."
Fabregas spent eight years at Arsenal, including as part of the Invincibles squad alonside Bergkamp. The Spanish midfielder then made the move back to Barcelona before joining Chelsea, where he spent a successful period, winning the Premier League.
The 32-year-old moved on to Monaco at the start of the year.
