'Is this a wind-up?' - Nottingham Forest fans have their say on VAR call against Chelsea

Nottingham Forest got a first taste of VAR in their FA Cup clash with Chelsea - and it went against them as the Reds were denied a penalty.

Referee Peter Bankes had pointed to the spot after Alex Mighten - on his full debut for the club - went down under the challenge of Fikayo Tomori with 23 minutes gone at Stamford Bridge.

But with VAR in use during the third round tie, the decision was checked - and eventually overruled as Mighten’s arm was judged to be offside as he called for the ball from Albert Adomah’s pass.

Had it stood, it would have presented Sabri Lamouchi’s side with the opportunity to equalise against their Premier League opponents, after the Blues had taken the lead with six minutes gone through Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Here’s what Forest fans have been saying about the VAR call.
