'Is this a joke?' West Ham ace Sebastien Haller's Fantasy Premier League price has fans baffled

He may be West Ham's club record signing, but Sebastien Haller's Fantasy Premier League price has been described as "ridiculously expensive" by some rival fans.

The Frenchman, who has joined the Hammers from German side Eintracht Frankfurt in a deal worth up to £45m, has been added to the popular fantasy football game, with a tweet from the official account of FPL confirming that he will cost £7.5m.

But that has got fans talking, with the 25-year-old costing £0.5m more than West Ham's top scorer from last season, Marko Arnautovic.

That is despite Haller having never played in the Premier League.

However, the Frenchman was prolific at Frankfurt last season, scoring 20 goals in 41 appearances as the Bundesliga side reached the semi-finals of the Europa League.

In his two years with Frankfurt, he scored 33 goals in 77 appearances, having scored 51 times in 98 games for Dutch side FC Utrecht prior to that.

And his arrival has got West Ham fans excited, with the former France U21 international signing a five-year contract with the option of a further 12 months.

But rival fans do not seem as impressed with the price assigned to the striker in Fantasy Premier League, with many taking to social media to voice their opinion.

Here's what some have been saying following the confirmation of his price.
