So, you've heard about NBCUniversal streaming service Peacock, and want to check out its array of content from The Day of the Jackal to The Traitors. Hold up though, is there a free trial you can test out the platform on?
Some bad news on that front, in a one word answer: no. While free trials certainly used to be quite common among streamers this is not so much the case nowadays except from Apple TV Plus and these free streaming services. To get an idea of whether Peacock is for you that will mean having to fork out some money on at least a month.
There was occasionally a streaming deal to save money on Peacock trial sessions, you can no longer stream for free sadly. So, if you want to catch all the Peacock Originals, Universal movies on Peacock and live-streamed sports, find out how to do so below...
Is there a Peacock free trial?
Peacock used to offer a seven-day free trial, so you could test out its offerings before committing to the monthly or annual plan, but in 2021 it was removed.
That's a growing trend in streaming services with Disney Plus and Netflix also removing such offerings.
So now, to watch anything on Peacock, you'll have to subscribe.
- Peacock Premium: this is the cheapest of Peacock's all-access plans because for the lower cost $7.99 per month, $79.99 a year you have to sit through ads.
- Peacock Premium Plus: if you can't bear the adverts and want to get rid of them, then you'll need to go for the top plan — Premium Plus costs $13.99 a month or $139.99 annually.
Peacock also used to have a free plan, but in early 2023, that was removed.
What does Peacock Premium or Peacock Premium Plus include?
As a Peacock Premium or Peacock Premium Plus subscriber, you'll be able to access plenty more content, including Peacock Originals like Girls5eva and Rutherford Falls. You'll also get next-day access to current NBC/Bravo hits like Below Deck and Real Housewives.
Plus you can start streaming live sports and events including Premier League soccer, golf and Sunday Night Football. Peacock is also the exclusive US home of the Eurovision Song Contest.
You can watch on bags of different devices from computers, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Samsung Smart TV, Chromecast, LG Smart TVs, as well as Xbox and PlayStation games consoles. Premium Plus subscribers can also download and watch selected titles offline.
