Is signing Justin Houston a good move for the Colts?

The Indianapolis Colts brought in veteran pass rusher Justin Houston on a two-year deal Thursday as they look to find help in the pass rush department.

Though they saw improvement in getting after the quarterback during the 2018 season, the production in doing so was far too inconsistent. With a young corps of talent to develop, Houston is being brought in to provide consistency from the edge while also helping mentor some of the younger pass rushers.

Houston had a solid 2018 campaign recording 9.0 sacks despite missing four games. Making the switch from outside linebacker to defensive end in the Colts one-gap front, Houston’s job will be simply to find ways to get upfield and impact the quarterback.

The Colts had 33.0 sacks as a team during the 2018 season, which was good for 19th in the NFL. Houston signed a two-year deal worth a reported $24 million.

Hoping to add some help to the pass rush, is signing Houston a good move for the Colts? Let us know in the poll below!
