Sheyi Ojo says Rangers are the best team in the country. Is he right?
Anthony Haggerty: No. It’s a big statement from Ojo considering a ball has not been kicked in earnest. Rangers have improved gradually under Steven Gerrard but that kind of trash talk may only serve to fuel the nine-in-a-row attempt in Glasgow’s East end.
Craig Swan: If that’s what the lad thinks, good on him for speaking his mind. But the bottom line is that a league table tells you who the best team is and it hasn’t been Rangers for eight years. So if Ojo is right, he and his team-mates need to back up words with deeds because Celtic are the best right now.

Gary Ralston : No, and his comments won’t half infuriate Steven Gerrard, who has been publicly at pains to pay respect to Celtic’s position as the team to be toppled. Ojo should remember the wise old saying, ‘When all is said and done, more is said than done.’ Talk is cheap.
Gordon Parks: There’s no evidence to back his claim and it’s one made to ingratiate himself to the fans. He’s barely in the door and won’t have seen much of a Celtic side who have more quality and strength in depth.
As the poker game continues between Arsenal and Celtic, what price would you accept for Kieran Tierney?
AH: Celtic will accept nothing less than £25million. But Tierney is arguably worth more. Arsenal know the asking price and if they want him they should put up or shut up.
CS: A deal which reaches £25m with a down payment of £20m sounds fair enough. Fair play to Celtic if they hold out for more but comparisons are always made with Andrew Robertson, so you have to remember that Liverpool only paid £10m for him from Hull.

GR: The clubs are in the ball park of £25m which seems fair. The issue is clearly how the deal is structured. Tierney’s a talent and will especially suit a team like the Gunners, who place such an emphasis on attack.
GP: A fee of £25m feels about right, no more, no less.
What price should Aberdeen take for Scotland defender Scott McKenna?
AH: If the Reds get a bid of somewhere between £5m and £7m then they should snap the hand off whatever club is willing to shell out that kind of cash.
CS: Aberdeen should hold their ground for about £7m. Whether he’s worth that or not is immaterial. Clubs down south pay over the odds constantly for players and the Dons know it.

GR: If they don’t need to deal at this stage, take nothing at all. However, if the bids start to hit £5m it could be to the best advantage of the player and club to take the offer and invest the money elsewhere.
GP: The English game is a lottery when pricing up transfer fees and if Oli McBurnie can move for £17m then McKenna’s probably worth about £100m. The Dons are right to hold out for £10m as nothing makes sense any more.
Motherwell have started the season strongly. Who are your tips for the top six?
AH: Celtic, Rangers, Aberdeen, Hearts, Hibs to finish in that order in the top five. I’ll also be brave and tip the mighty Motherwell to gatecrash the Premiership top six this season.
CS: Two from Glasgow, two from Edinburgh, Aberdeen and the team to clinch the final spot will be St Johnstone. Tommy Wright also gets it bang on in the end, despite their current Betfred Cup struggles. Squads aren’t finally built for another month.
GR: The Steelmen will join the five big city clubs, with Kilmarnock in danger of undoing their fine work of the last two years with that misguided managerial appointment.
GP: Celtic, Rangers, Aberdeen, Hibs, Motherwell and Hearts, in that order.
