Is Scolari the right man for Chelsea?

After weeks of speculation Chelsea have finally found a manager to succeed Avram Grant at Stamford Bridge. Portugal coach Luiz Felipe Scolari certainly comes with a name, reputation and personality big enough to satisfy Roman Abramovich; World Cup winning coaches are few and far between, and after having had a manager in Avram Grant who preferred to shy away from the limelight, Scolari is perhaps the kind of pugnacious character who could elevate Chelsea's standing as a big club. But will his personality be enough to encourage players to stay in west London and resist the temptation to join up with Jose Mourinho at Internazionale?

And while Scolari has had success at international level, is he cut out to deal with the everyday stresses and strains of managing at club level after a seven-year hiatus - particularly when his previous experience of success at club level has only ever been in South America? Scolari always packs his teams with flair, and his preference of playing one up front with advanced wingers in support, is not dissimilar to the formation Jose Mourinho employed successfully in his time at Stamford Bridge. So have Chelsea in fact opted for the most similar manager to Jose Mourinho?
