Coronation Street fans were left 'sobbing' and 'confused' over heartbreaking Corrie scenes which saw legend Roy Cropper exit the street.
Roy, played by David Neilson, left the famous cobbles in the back of a taxi after deciding to start a new life as a chef in South America.
He left behind his devastated niece Nina Lucas after signing over his cafe and home to her.

But Corrie fans were left wondering if the Weatherfield legend really is gone for good.
They took to Twitter to ask what was going on.
@LauJane_asked: "But...has Roy actually left though?! Asking for a friend...but not really #Corrie"
@RyanGTweetsTV begged: "Please don't leave the street Roy you legend."
@mary_pippin1 commented: "Is Roy really leaving? it’s such a sudden storyline."
@ConversationStr tweeted: "When Roy drives off in a taxi and you’re not sure if he’s actually leaving…"
@Alison_King_Fan wrote: "It also makes no sense to me that Roy would abandon Nina in her time of need.
"I’m low-key angry at this storyline."
There were tears as Carla Connor, who has also looked on Roy as a father figure, told him: "I just love you. I love the way you trudge around in that horrible cardigan and the way that rogue hair sticks up at the back.
And @fluffyhairben said: "Sobbing at Roy and Carla."
It is currently unknown if Roy will be leaving for good so viewers will just have to keep watching to find out.
Overwhelmed with guilt, Roy wants some piece after he was drawn into Abi Franklin's gun drama.
Honourable Roy has covered for Abi after the gun she used to go after her son's killer Corey Brent was found by drugs lord Harvey Gaskell.
Harvey then gunned down Natasha Blakeman leaving 10-year-old Sam Blakeman without a mother.
Roy, who arrived on the cobbles in 1995, went into business with Gail Platt and renamed the Coronation Street café Roy’s Rolls before meeting the love of his life Hayley Patterson played by Julie Hesmondhalgh.
He went through heartbreak in 2014 when his beloved wife Hayley took her own life with a cocktail of drugs.
Two years ago he found another soulmate in Nina after taking his niece in following the death of her father Richard.
