Republic of Ireland host Luxembourg at the Aviva Stadium in a World Cup qualifier on Saturday night.

Stephen Kenny is still looking for his first win as Ireland manager a year into his tenure and a win over Luxembourg is a much-needed boost to their 2022 World Cup hopes.

The Boys in Green lost 3-2 in their opening group fixture, falling to Serbia on Wednesday while Luxembourg fell 1-0 to tournament hosts Qatar in a friendly.

Luxembourg impressed during the Nations League last year and will feel that they can come away with a positive result against a struggling Irish outfit.

Here’s everything you need to know about the match:

When is it?

The fixture will kick-off at 7:45pm GMT at the Aviva Stadium.

How can I watch it?

The match is live on Sky Sports Main Event with coverage starting from 7:30pm GMT.

What is the team news?

Darren Randolph’s absence means Mark Travers is likely to start, while Shane Long and Callum Robinson are set to start up top.

The experienced duo of Vahid Selimovic and Dick Carlson are in the Luxembourg squad, but Gerson Rodrigues will likely lead the line for the visitors.

Predicted line-ups:

Republic of Ireland: Travers, Doherty, Coleman, Clark, O’Shea, Stevens, Hendrick, Cullen, Browne, Long, Robinson

Luxembourg: Moris, Jans, Gerson, Mahmutovic, Pinto, O.Thill, Pereira, Martins, V.Thill, Muratovic, Rodrigues

Odds:

Republic of Ireland: 1/2

Draw: 10/3

Luxembourg: 6/1

Prediction:

Ireland have experienced some truly horrendous form under Kenny, but they will surely come away with a much-needed win over Luxembourg. 3-1 Ireland.
