Is Poundland open during lockdown and do they deliver?

Non-essential retailers across England have closed their doors for the next few weeks due to a second national lockdown.

The Government closed down non-essential stores, pubs, restaurants and more last week until at least December 2 in an effort to curb the spread of coronavirus.

Among the closures are clothing and electronics stores, betting shops, travel agents, tailors and car washes.

Since lockdown began, many have been confused over which stores have been allowed to stay open and asked whether their local Poundland stores are considered ‘essential’.

The Government has labelled many stores essential this time around, including those stocking food and medicines.

Poundland confirmed via Facebook that it will be staying open throughout lockdown, writing: “We’re open today, open tomorrow and open for you throughout November.

Does Poundland do delivery?

Poundland does not currently offer home delivery, so shoppers will have to visit stores if they're hoping to get their hands on something in particular.

Poundland currently has several safety measures in place to help protect staff and customers during lockdown, including hand sanitising stations, floor markings, screens at tills and mandatory face masks.
