Is Newcastle Pride free? All you need to know about the 2019 event

Newcastle Pride is always one of the biggest events in the city year after year and now there are just months to go until this year's festival.

Since it started over a decade ago, Newcastle Pride has grown and grown, with attendance figures reaching record numbers with each new year, particularly the amount of participants in the annual city centre parade.

Newcastle Pride 2019 will take over both the Town Moor and Exhibition Park in July with the lineup soon to be announced.

Last year a whole host of acts entertained including Alexandra Burke, Gareth Gates and S Club, with Steps and Vengaboys entertaining at a ticketed launch event as Pride moved to Nuns Moor in Fenham.

This year's Newcastle Pride lineup includes Fleur East, Liberty X and Saara Aalto.

Is Newcastle Pride free this year?

The event is free to attend but those looking to secure prime viewing spots and access to a private bar and posh toilets can purchase a Platinum Pass at www.northern-pride.com/box-office.

And once again participation in the Pride Parade will be free.

Newcastle Pride, or Northern Pride to give it its full name, will kick off with a Bongo's Bingo special featuring Big Brovaz and Booty Luv.

This is a paid for event and you can get tickets from the Northern Pride website.

For more information, visit the Northern Pride website or search northernprideuk on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
