A piece in the Sunday Telegraph argues that the potential sale of Trinity Mirror's regional newspapers is imperilled by the possibility that Rupert Murdoch may roll out his new free London newspaper. I say argues because the hard evidence for this assertion appears to be non-existent. The writer, Richard Northedge, also claims the stock prices of all regional groups will be hit by Murdoch's decision. Is this the journalist's own guess? No-one is quoted, not even one of those helpful unnamed "analysts." (Via Sunday Telegraph)
