Is Motherwell v Hearts on TV or live stream? How to watch Betfred Cup clash

Hearts will be involved in Friday night football for the second time this season when they head to Motherwell in the Betfred Cup.

The Jambos drew the Steelmen in the last 16 after finishing top of the group but failing to secured seeded status.

The sides faced each other in the quarter-finals last season, with Craig Levein’s side winning an entertaining game 4-2 before being knocked out in the semis by eventual winners Celtic.

Their last two televised trips to Fir Park have not gone well however. A Scottish Cup quarter-final in 2018 saw a big traveling support suffer disappointment after Carl McHugh’s late screamer edged it for ‘Well after Kyle Lafferty had canceled out Curtis Main’s opener.

Last February’s Scottish Premiership clash produced the same outcome, but in even more gut wrenching fashion for Hearts.

Steven Naismith’s smart finish drew them level after Jake Hastie had powered Motherwell in front.

Ben Garuccio’s stoppage time red card should have been a mere annoyance, but the resulting free-kick from David Turnbull was fumbled in to his own net by Colin Doyle despite not looking remotely dangerous.

Hearts will hoping it’s a case of third time lucky this week. Not going? Edinburgh Live has you covered for how to watch, ref details and match odds.
