Manchester United welcome Leeds United to Old Trafford in a throwback to some of the great clashes between these rival clubs in the 1990s.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team can climb into the top four, and maybe as high as second, if results go their way on Sunday and they pick up a win of their own. They will need to defend rather better for that to be the case than they did in midweek against Sheffield United, where they conceded early and late goals but came out on top in a 3-2 victory - their sixth straight away win of the season.
Leeds were also successful during the week, hammering Newcastle 5-2 and showing their all-action attack remains in fine working order after back-to-back defeats prior to that match.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side are likely to feel even more than usual that attack is the best form of defence for them, given the frailties both teams have shown in defence this season and the fact the two clubs have scored the same amount of league goals this term - 22 apiece. A victory for Leeds would take them into the top half, but they haven’t won at Old Trafford in over a decade - or in league play since 1981 in the old Division One.

Edinson Cavani is likely to return to the matchday squad after being involved in team training toward the end of the week, so Marcos Rojo is the only injury absentee and he wouldn’t have played anyway.
Leeds are without Robin Koch and Diego Llorente still, but Adam Forshaw might be available. They could name an unchanged side after their midweek win.
