What's the team news?

Pep Guardiola is likely to shuffle his pack to deal with fixture congestion, with his time preparing for an FA Cup semi-final clash with Brighton at the weekend.

Sergio Aguero has been ruled out of the game with injury after suffering a tight hamstring in Man City's 2-0 win over Fulham. Fabian Delph is also sidelined, while Raheem Sterling may be rested and Benjamin Mendy may not be ready to start the game.

After joking that he'd selected an Under-23s side — and incurring the wrath of Liverpool fans keen to see how the game affects the title race — Warnock said he'd pick as close to a full-strength side as possible.

Aron Gunnarsson may be rested as he struggles to play two games in a short space of time, while Joe Bennett and Victor Camarasa could be doubts.

Kenneth Zohore and Oumar Niasse will compete for the striker's berth, while Joe Ralls and Nathaniel Mendez-Laing are pushing for recalls.

Probable Cardiff City team: Etheridge; Peltier, Manga, Morrison, Cunningham; Ralls, Camarasa, Arter; Mendez-Laing, Hoilett, Niasse.

Probable Man City team: Ederson; Walker, Stones, Laporte, Zinchenko; Fernandinho, Bernardo Silva, De Bruyne; Sane, Mahrez, Jesus.

What have the managers said?

Guardiola: "We know how we are going to play and it is a final every game. Cardiff are alive.

"Based on what I saw against Chelsea, it's not a team that is already done. They are there, but we want to be there too."

Warnock: "We’ve got to try and do our best in the game and I'm sure we will.

"(Man City) have got two teams in their squad and I doubt any of our squad could get in either of them.

"They’ve just taken the Premier League to another level. It's an amazing level."

What are the odds?

According to Paddy Power and correct at the time of publishing:

Man City win 1/16

Draw 12/1

Cardiff win 40/1
