On June 28, 11 new singletons entered the iconic Majorca villa as Love Island ’s new class of 2021.
The first week has already been charged with plot twists, including bombshell Shannon Singh being shockingly dumped from the island on Day 1.
Furthermore, two new bombshell boys, Chuggs and Liam, arrived on the island, and it appeared that Faye was already showing some interest in Liam.
Prior to the villa’s newcomers, Love Island viewers were also treated to some good old snogging, as Aaron and Sharon shared a kiss in addition to coupled-up Jake and Liberty.
The 21-year-old Birmingham native was filmed admitting her partner “gave her butterflies”.
Is Love Island on tonight?
Britain’s favourite summer reality TV show will be on a short break tonight, before coming back in full strength with new storylines and drama to spice things up in the villa.
Love Island airs a new episode every evening at 9pm, on ITV2, with the exception of Saturdays.
Moreover, season seven’s fifth episode, which will air on Sunday, will also start at 9pm and is expected to run until 10:05 pm.
Viewers can anticipate the show’s first official recoupling, in which the girls will choose and decide which boy they want to couple up with.
Despite most episodes finishing within an hour, a couple of longer episodes are likely to air.
Monday night’s first episode of the season ended at 10.35pm, as it saw the first set of islanders coupling up.
ITV2’s iconic dating show runs from Monday to Sunday, with a one-day break on the weekend.
Therefore, islanders do, in fact, get a day off from the show during the week.
Kem Cetinay, who was on the show two years ago in the third series, claimed that the cast had one day to enjoy themselves and even “head to the beach”.
In an interview on This Morning, he said: "They get one day off a week.
"What happens is it gives them a day to clean the villa and you take your mics off and normally we go to the beach and we just chill out. Not a lot of people know this.
“What happens is when you take your mics off, you’re not allowed to talk about anything to do with the show.”
As the last two summer series of Love Island counted for 49 episodes each, the seventh series can be expected to be a similar length.
ITV2’s reality show is expected to run for eight consecutive weeks, and will likely see its finale happen on Monday 23 August, after which the winners of Love Island’s seventh season will be announced.
