Is Love Island cancelled? Fans worry reality series has been pulled

Fans of Love Island are concerned that the show may be cancelled following the axing of Jeremy Kyle.

The Jeremy Kyle show was taken off air for good after a guest was found dead days after filming an episode of Jeremy Kyle.

Steve Dymond appeared on the show to try to clear his name of cheating accusations -  but he was found dead at home just days later.

ITV axed the programme indefinitely, as ITV’s CEO, Carolyn McCall said: “Given the gravity of recent events we have decided to end production of The Jeremy Kyle Show."

Mike Thalassitis was found dead in woods near his Essex home in March 2019.

The 26-year-old was a former League Two footballer who found fame on the ITV2 dating show in 2017.

However following Mike's death, ITV bosses confirmed that Love Island aftercare procedure will change for all cast member in future seasons.

Previously, support to Love Island contestants was only given if they asked for it, but now it will be compulsory for all to receive it.
