Kylie Minogue has been tipped to perform at Glastonbury Festival when the annual music bonanza returns in 2019.
Minogue is rumoured to be among a handful of names expected to take to the stage at the Worthy Farm event in June, with odds of 5/1.
Betfair Spokesperson Katie Baylis said: “Glasto rumours are now starting to come thick and fast now that tickets have been sold, with everyone from Stormzy to Sir Elton John rumoured.
“Another name being mentioned as a contender is Kylie and with her new album out we have here at 5/1 for a Pyramid headliner spot.”
Minogue this morning announced a Summer 2019 tour, with a potential Glastonbury shaped hole in the middle.
The Australian pop Princess will play two dates at Hampton Court Palace on June 20 and 21 and another at Blenheim Palace on June 23, with a break until taking to the stage at the Eden Project in St Austell, Cornwall on July 2.
Minogue was due to headline Worthy Farm back in 2005 but cancelled her appearance a month before as she battled breast cancer.
She previously opened up about her desire to perform at the festival, saying she would find it “emotional”.
“When I was supposed to do it I think I would have been the first solo female to headline in however many years it was, so I was really proud of that at that time,” she told The Sun. “Obviously it didn’t happen.
“So yes, it would be amazing and very emotional to be standing there and doing what I didn’t get to do all those years ago, for sure.”
Minogue would follow in the footsteps of Dolly Parton, Barry Gibb and Lionel Richie if she performed the Sunday afternoon Legends Slot.
Glastonbury Festival runs from June 27-30 next year.
