Is Khalil Mack poised to wreck the Raiders in Week 5?

Unless you live under a rock, you know that this is the week that Bears OLB Khalil Mack plays his former team for the first time since the Raiders traded him to Chicago.

Mack is dominant every Sunday, but this Sunday packs an extra emotional punch, even if Mack won’t admit it publicly.

A panel of NFL.com analysts shared their bold predictions for Week 5, and it’s no surprise that Mack’s name came up in the conversation.

Maurice Jones-Drew believes that Mack is poised to absolutely wreck the Raiders on Sunday.

Khalil Mack is making a case for MVP through four weeks with 4.5 sacks and four forced fumbles. The Bears pass rusher has recorded five sacks in a game once in his career, back in 2015 vs. the Denver Broncos. Lining on Sunday against the team that traded him away in London, Mack goes off and sacks Derek Carr a career-high 5.5 times. If that doesn’t move him up in the MVP race, I don’t know what will.

It’s hard for any prediction to be too bold when it comes to Khalil Mack because, well, he’s Khalil Mack. And Jones-Drew isn’t pulling any punches when predicting that Mack will record a career-high 5.5 sacks Sunday against the Raiders.

Mack is off to an MVP-like start in 2019, averaging a sack and forced fumble every game and leading the league in quarterback pressures.

If there was ever a time for Mack to go off, it would be against the Raiders, which should be fun to watch. At least, for Bears fans.
