Is Jools Holland's Hootenanny live on New Year's Eve? What time it's on and line-up

Jools Holland's Hootenanny is back once again this New Year's Eve for its annual bash, and he's got a star-studded line-up to sing in 2020.

Stormzy, Stereophonics and La Roux are all billed to perform on the show alongside Jools and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra.

Major grime star Stormzy will be performing his hit single Crown and other tracks from his second album Heavy is the Head.

Meanwhile Stereophonics is performing songs from their album Kind while La Roux will be singing her iconic tune In For The Kill as well as new pop songs from her album Supervision.

YolanDa Brown, Melanie, Eddi Reader, Pauline Black and Arthur ‘Gaps’ Hendrickson from The Selecter, Joseph, Ruby Turner, and the Pipes And Drums of The 1st Battalion Scots Guards will finish up the line-up as they send out 2019 with a bang.

A number of TV and film stars will also join the show.

The Hootenanny is not live on New Year's Eve and was filmed earlier this month on December 6th.

The show is often pre-recorded so that the star-studded line-up are able to spend the countdown with friends and family.
