The confetti has fallen and the lights have dimmed on the 2018 NFL season, which saw offense dominate the whole year… until the Super Bowl that is.
Now, the real fun and drama begins: the offseason. With the new league year a little over a month away, we’ve got plenty of time to speculate about which free agents land where and what trades we might see before the draft.
So, it’s only natural to overreact to any tweet or quote that might give any indication about a team’s plans.
Case in point, this tweet from Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry.
At first glance, it is an innocent tweet with a picture of two buddies. But then you remember that the other person in that picture is Bucs wide receiver DeSean Jackson. And you remember, too, that Jackson wants out of Tampa Bay.
I’m not saying this is Landry’s way of trying to recruit Jackson to the Browns, but can you imagine Landry and Jackson catching deep balls from Baker Mayfield?
Wow, Cleveland is actually a desirable place to play now. Who would have ever thought?
