It’s one of those things that you probably won't do, but have heard rumours that it might actually have some health benefits...

So if you’re stuck in the desert or on a Bear Grylls-inspired adventure – you’re out of water and that ice-cold drink is now miles away; is drinking your own urine a good idea? Or even, a friend's urine?

Dr Nick Knight is adamant there are no benefits to drinking your own urine. Even for that sweet short-term satisfaction of quenching your thirst, it’ll only come back to poison you.
