Pancake Day is just around the corner - but it's not today.
The annual day dedicated to the fluffy treat isn't on a set day each year as it moves in line with Easter.
Known to Christians as Shrove Tuesday - and to most Scousers as Pancake Tuesday - it always takes place on the seventh week before Easter.

Pancake Day comes immediately before Ash Wednesday, which is the first day of Lent. Typically, Lent is a period of fasting and sees those observing it give something up in the run up to Easter, when the fast can be broken.
Shrove Tuesday is seen as the time to enjoy fatty foods before the fasting period kicks in.

When is Pancake Day 2022?
This year, Pancake Day falls on Tuesday, March 1.
One week today, you can tuck into all the pancakes your heart desires.
Shrove Tuesday marks the day before Lent starts. Lent will commence on Wednesday, March 2 this year until Thursday, April 14.
