Is it B&M or John Lewis? Spot the Christmas bargain in our shopping quiz

We all love a bargain, especially at Christmas and especially if said bargain looks as good as its more expensive counterpart.

And if you're no stranger to an online shopping spree and you visit a multitude of sites from bargain to high-end - you may have come across a seasonal 'dupe' (or at least a near-dupe).

'Dupes' - short for 'duplicate' - are cheaper but very similar versions of high-end items, explains the Manchester Evening News.

Yes, some can be naff and you might end up compromising on quality or design, but sometimes you might just bag yourself something special.

But if you can't see the shop name or price of the item, do you think you would be able to tell which one is worth more?

We pitted one of the UK's favourite bargain stores, B&M, against one of our favourite high-end department stores John Lewis to put your skills to the test.

We've found similar-looking pairs of festive must-haves from artificial Christmas trees to Santa's and stockings.

But can you tell which item is the cheapest?

You can read more on our shopping content, here, including the supermarket opening hours on Boxing Day.
