Furthermore, in response to a tweet comparing models like Veo 3 and Claude 4, Musk also weighed in, saying Grok 3.5 would focus on “reasoning from first principles (truth).” This indicates that the upcoming Grok model will prioritize deep technical accuracy over surface-level answers.

So far, xAI hasn’t officially announced the Grok 3.5 release. But the community is watching closely. The presence of backend changes, UI tweaks, and Musk’s own words hint that the Grok 3.5 rollout may have already begun in the background.
This is not the first time people are speculating about the Grok 3.5 launch. Recently, when some users spotted references to “Grok-3.5” in the chatbot’s code base, similar rumors were spread across the community that the Grok 3.5 launch was just around the corner. But so far, we have not seen any official announcement. So, until we get some concrete evidence, it’s better to take all this information with a grain of salt.
