If the 247 Sports crystal ball is any indication, Georgia is the clear frontrunner for 2020 elite wide receiver Arian Smith (Lakeland, Florida).
Smith, who ranks as the nation’s No. 28 overall player, No. 5 wide receiver and No. 6 in the state of Florida according to the 247Sports in-house rankings, has been trending towards Georgia recently.
There are currently five crystal ball picks in for Smith – which is 247Sports’ method of predicting where a prospect will go – and they all are for Georgia.
One of the picks comes from 247Sports’ National Director of Recruiting, two from FSU insiders, one from Kipp Adams of Dawgs247 and one from SBNation.
In the 247Sports composite rankings, Smith is ranked as the nation’s 134th overall player, 27th wide receiver and No. 22 in Florida.
Currently, Georgia ranks as the No. 6 class in the 2020 cycle with 14 commits on board. Of those 14, three are wide receivers: 4-star Marcus Rosemy, 3-star Justin Robinson and 3-star Cory Wren.
